| Description: |
1.Design and develop a client-server chat application using .NET Remoting. The application should comprise one server and a set of clients. A client can send a message to another client, and can receive messages from other clients. Interaction between the clients and the server should be by remote methods calls using TCP as the communications protocol.More specifically a client application should be able to:• Logon to the server (no need to authenticate client credentials)• Logoff• Retrieve a list of clients currently logged on• Send a message to a client• Work out how many unread messages it has on the server• Receive the next unread message addressed to it• Receive a collection of all unread messages addressed to it The server should facilitate the client functionality above.A message is anything containing addressing information (to and from), and content. The client should be a console application which uses a simple menu system to take input from the user and use all the features of the server. 2.Re-develop the above solution for the Java platform using the Java RMI.
