I want to start a private/sharing file hosting service. I really like media fire . com and I would like something with the same features + more and a good looking interface. Just to make a list, I would like to have the following: ADMIN SIDE - multi server balancing (server assigned on priority, user level or user location) - up to 2gb single file upload, overriding server config if necessary - support for Amazon S3 and Rackspace cloudfiles - advertising management (adsense and custom codes / zones) - multiple plan with custom features: speed throttling, webspace, resume downloads/uploads, advertisement on/off, different upload methods, expiring links... - upload from: webform, remote url, ftp server, attachment sent by email, ajax uploader. All with % complete, time left, elapsed time, transfer speed. - paypal, moneybookers and custom payment gateway - trial account subscription, paid subscriptions in different levels with different features and prices - reminders by email to users (renew, expiring, confirmations...) and newsletters - detailed stats of every aspect of the site - detailed and easy management of remote servers and space - detailed management of files, duplicates, expiring and moving files from one server to another (server to server transfer) - detailed management of db - template driven interface USER SIDE - automatic zip of uploaded files - mail to a friend link to download - direct link download - beautiful web 2.0 ajax user interface (nice design, easy, drag&drop) - users can create public or password protect folders - beautiful web 2.0 user dashboard for managing files, folders and account - resume uploads and downloads - SSL - folders uploads with automatic zip archive - file preview: can display thumbnails and generate previews for the following file types: JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, PSD, TIF, EPS and more. - Create and share image galleries with metatags, geotags and actual web 2.0 features (flickr like) - Flash (FLA & SWF) and MOV movies can be viewed online, without the need of additional software. - MP3 audio files can be played using FileRun's embedded player. - The following document types can be viewed using Scribd iPaper online service: "pdf, doc, docx, rtf, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, eps, ras, odt, odf, ott, odg, odp, stw, sxw, std, sxd, sti, sxi, sxc, sda, sdd, sdw, vor, otg, stp, ods, pts, tif, bmp, ppm, xpm". - Image files can be edited using Snipshot.com free online service. - Autodesk Design Web Format (DWF) files can be easily viewed without being downloaded, using Autodesk Freeweel web service. - File versioning: keep track of your work, automatically store different versions of the same file when uploading, ability to lock/unlock files without necessarily upload a new version, download, restore or delete previous versions of the files. - file searching These are the main features I want, some variation may apply, so don't take it as it is at 100%. I really appreciate fresh ideas and suggestions during the developing. I can give you more detailed info and answer your questions about this project in PM. Please bid only if you're serious and you can complete the work. No upfront pay of any kind, just escrow divided into 20% pieces of the main sum as you show me your progress. Do not ask a different method. Script in php, all open code. Must run on linux servers. No extra licensed software needed. The entire ownership we'll be mine at the end of the project. I request 4 month of support. Then we'll sign a contract for extra features (iPhone interface and extra support). Programmers with similar jobs have best chances. I'm looking for: a powerful script, a beautiful elegant web 2.0 interface and skilled staff. Expected budget around $750. There are scripts out there on sale at $80.
